What is a Breast Reduction?

It is a surgical procedure that reduces the size and improves the shape of your breasts. During this type of breast surgery, excess breast tissue is removed, making your breasts lighter so that they do not cause pain in your neck, shoulders, and back or contribute to feelings of chronic fatigue. Then the breasts are elevated and reshaped so that they have a more youthful position and shape. The nipple/areola will be elevated and can be reshaped as part of a breast reduction procedure. Breast reduction helps you to look and feel better at the same time.

 

There are several different techniques for a breast reduction such as: inferior pedicle, superior-medial pedicle and free nipple graft. Drs. Breast Reductions Along with Mommy Makeovers
